Summer Wraps with Silkscreened Abstractions
For a day at the beach, or a stroll in the cool summer air, what could be better than a light wrap? Join artist and author of Water-based Screenprinting Today, Roni Henning, for an afternoon-long, hands-on workshop using screen printing to create your own one-of-a-kind summer accessory.
Working directly on a silkscreen with brushes and stencils, students will create their own four-color abstract image. This multicolored image is then printed on fabric using color blends and spatter techniques to create unique, bold colorations. Covering all the basics for those unfamiliar with the process, this workshop uses only non-toxic, solvent free inks, and practices environmentally safe printing methods.
